What Is Bipolar Disorder

Bipolar disorder, also known as manic-depressive illness, is a brain disorder that causes unusual shifts in mood, energy, activity levels, and the ability to carry out day-to-day tasks.

There are certain levels of this disorder, including bipolar I disorder, bipolar II disorder, cyclothymic disorder as well as other unspecified specific disorders.

Usually, this disorder takes places within manic or depressive episodes and may have certain kinds of events, from having trouble sleeping to having very little energy.
