  1. Don’t be scared, it’s just a talk. Try to be as relaxed as possible and to put down, if necessary, the main points you want to talk about or insist on once you meet your therapist.
  2. Some therapists may first ask you what made you make this decision of visiting the therapist. Be honest. In fact, this is by far the most important thing you must do even during the therapy.
  3. Don’t expect your psychotherapist to insist doing things you don’t feel or want to do. Try to better understand yourself and do only what makes you feel relaxed and happy.

Depending on your issue, therapy may long from weeks to months or even years in some cases. Don’t hurry, take your time, follow your therapist advice and you will be in good hands.
